"We delivered 5,000 leaflets" is not a result. It is logistics. A tracked print campaign answers: which area responded, how many people scanned, how many called or booked, and whether the offer paid for itself.

Here is a funnel you can run without a data team. Most owners already have the landing page and phone. They only miss the batch-level link.

Step 1: Define the batch

Name the run (e.g. "Sept A6 D7 offer A"). Record print quantity, target streets or postcodes, drop date, and cost. One batch, one row in a spreadsheet.

Step 2: Use a tracked QR per batch

Put a tracked QR on the leaflet, not a bare homepage URL. Each batch gets its own link so scans do not mix with organic traffic. Follow QR code print tips for size and contrast.

flyerfly generates the QR, landing page, and scan count per run so you are not wiring up UTMs yourself.

Step 3: Land on a focused page

Mobile-first page with the same headline as the leaflet, phone button, short form or booking link, and service area reminder. Mismatch between print and page kills conversion.

Step 4: Capture leads consistently

Log calls that mention the leaflet. Tag CRM or spreadsheet entries with batch name. If staff answer phones, use a simple script: "Where did you see us?"

Step 5: Review after 14 days

Scans, form fills, calls, jobs booked, revenue attributed (honest estimates OK). Divide by batch cost for rough cost per lead. Decide reprint, tweak offer, or try a new area.

If you count scans, say so on the landing page. Do not collect fields you will not use. Coarse scan analytics are enough for most local tests.

Save each batch row in the same spreadsheet tab. Six months of rows beats a perfect dashboard you never update. Patterns emerge quickly when history is visible.
